Exclusive SandSmart Technology Prevents Machine Overload
Designed to achieve an expert finish without machine overload, the Jet 22-44ODS's exclusive SandSmart feature continuously monitors the load on the drum motor, and automatically regulates the speed of the conveyor motor to maintain the highest feed rate without overload. If the load on the drum motor increases, the SandSmart control will decrease the conveyor feed rate and will stop the conveyor under extreme conditions. If the load on the drum decreases, SandSmart will increase it faster than the manual setting on the speed adjustment label.
Additionally, the sander's exclusive oscillating feature allows it to be operated as a simple sander or as an oscillating sander for increased flexibility and control.
Powerful, Intuitive Details Save You Time
The drum sander's 22-inch suspended drum is braced on either end with a strong carriage arm and aligns easily with the conveyor bed for consistent contact. Fine-tuning for precise thickness is easy with the rugged cast-iron hand-wheel that makes sharp 3/32-inch height adjustments with each turn.
The precision-flattened steel conveyor bed is fashioned with conveyor belt trackers that relieve the need for frequent belt adjustments. An infeed and an outfeed table abut the conveyor belt, providing plenty of support for the work piece.
The backbone of this superior drum sander is its heavy-duty engine system. The Jet 22-44ODS operates on two separate motors--one that rotates the conveyor belt and a powerful 1-3/4 HP motor that rotates the sanding drum and employs a continuous duty cycle to provide consistent power and stand up to extended usage. This sander also offers a built-in cabinet with a door to help you keep your work space organized.
